What the Designation Actually Means
The Founding Author designation recognizes authors who joined Making Sense Press during its founding period. The designation remains associated with qualifying authors and their Making Sense Press titles throughout their relationship with the press. It appears on your author profile and your book listing on makingsensepress.com.
It isn't a tier. It isn't a subscription. It's a record — a visible acknowledgment that you were part of the founding period.
We also offer a 20% discount on any of our publishing programs as part of the Founding Author offer. That discount is meaningful. But we want to be clear: the designation is what matters most to us. The discount is how we say thank you for the trust.
Who This Is For
The Founding Author program is not open to everyone. We read every application and accept books that meet Making Sense Press publishing and professional standards. The discount doesn't change our editorial standard — it never could.
